NSEP is looking for enthusiastic foster youth who are excited about their future and need an opportunity to explore college life.
Applicants to the NSEP Summer Academy must meet the following criteria: (1) rising high school junior or senior (GED recipients will also be considered), (2) interested in learning more about the social work profession, (3) minimum GPA of 2.5 on 4.0 scale, (4) planning to attend college.

Youth are to submit a typed, 2-page, double-spaced, essay that shares information about themselves and how participating in NSEP will help them to reach their personal goals.
(3) High School Transcript
Youth may submit an unofficial copy of their high school transcript.
(4) Two Letters of Recommendations
Youth should submit two letters of recommendations. One letter should be from a teacher or school administrator and the second letter should be from the DHR social worker or staff member.
